German Silver Sinks

Process & Materials

Each sink is hand made by our team of experienced craftsman using methods that have been employed for generations. Our shop has provided fine craftsmanship to architects, designers & homeowners since 1937 – our team is so proud of each product we make that we back it with an extremely uncompromising warrantee. We number and sign each individual sink and offer a lifetime guarantee.

German Silver
an alloy of nickel, copper and zinc provides a warm glow when polished to a mirror finish. Historic sinks were crafted using lead solder and built around pine boxes. Our fabrication process using only the finest materials and lead free solder (as well as substrate material guaranteed to stand the test of time). Make note that this sink shown is an original Elkay, Inc. design from 1910 using this same historic - pre–stainless steel material.

Original Serpentine Design
This sink is based on the original serpentine design seen on historic originals dating back to those produced over 100 years ago. Though we do other contemporary sink fabrications this piece is based on the original and not an interpretation or modified replication.
